Join a leading financial services organisation on a large program of work that is shaping the future of the Australian payments industry. This role is involved in delivering critical software development across their platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own change initiatives end-to-end, from requirements gathering through to build, test and implementation.
  • Analyse existing code and configuration to establish the current state, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements.
  • Independently develop system changes based on defined requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Strong background in Mainframe Development/Engineering
  • Must have experience: PL/1, PLI, IMS – this is mandatory
  • Nice to have: DB2, SQL, COBOL
  • Knowledge in the card and payments industry
  • Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical design.
  • Good stakeholder communication skills with a collaborative mindset
