What's the role?

The Senior Infrastructure Services Specialist within the Mainframe Infrastructure Services team is required to lead and support Westpac's complex mainframe environment within their technical expertise.

The role plays an important role in the development and maintenance of technical solutions within the Mainframe and ensures that the detailed design and operations are fit for purpose. 

What do I need?

  • Proven experience with:  
    • Db2 12 for zOS System maintenance and support procedures. 
    • Db2 Architecture. 
    • Db2 Subsystem (DSNZPARM) and application (DSNHDECP) parameters. 
    • DB2 catalog and directory. 
    • Key Db2 Metrics. 
  • Advanced knowledge with:  
    • IBM - Db2 Admin, Object Compare, Log Analysis, Optim Archive, Omegamon, Db2 PE. 
    • BMC tools – Apptune, AMI (Change Manager, Catalog Manager, Recovery Manager, Reorg, XBM). 
  • Advanced analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
