The Role

We're seeking a Lead Mainframe Programmer to guide a team supporting a legacy registry uplift programme. This Sydney-based role is suited to a senior professional with expertise in mainframe development, integration, and performance tuning.

You'll be responsible for leading mainframe programming efforts, mentoring team members, and ensuring the stability and compliance of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee mainframe development, integration, and performance tuning (Natural, JCL, ADABAS).
  • Mentor programmers and coordinate with stakeholders for project delivery.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, documentation, and compliance.
  • Lead troubleshooting and optimisation initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • Extensive experience in mainframe programming and team leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of Natural, JCL, and ADABAS on IBM z/OS.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Australian Citizenship with Baseline clearance.
