We're on the lookout for our next capable, confident, and customer-focused individual to lead our Customer Service Team at the SportUNE front desk. Renowned for our incredible CST team, this is more than just a reception role, it's a chance to lead a small, fantastic, enthusiastic group and ensure our members, visitors, and community get the best possible experience from the moment they walk through the door.

You'll be responsible for rosters, café operations, facility bookings, stock control, mentoring new staff, and ensuring everything runs smoothly — with a smile.

This role is ideal for someone who knows what great service looks like, has a practical understanding of café or reception work, and is ready to step into a leadership position. You'll bring initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to energise and organise a casual team, setting the tone for excellent service and a great front-of-house culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervising a team of casual front-of-house staff
  • Managing rosters, café stock and POS systems
  • Coordinating bookings and assisting customers
  • Mentoring and onboarding new team members
  • Keeping things running smoothly, day in and day out

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in hospitality, retail, sport, or rec centres
  • Confidence leading a small team and giving feedback
  • Solid café, reception, or customer service background
  • An upbeat personality and clear communication
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

This role reports to our Reception & Engagement Coordinator and plays a key role in how the public experiences SportUNE.
