About the role
The Discovery Voyager Team Leader is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the UNE Discovery Voyager program and staff. The UNE Discovery Voyager program develops and facilitates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) play-based, interactive activities into schools from Kindergarten to Year 10 in regional NSW. They will work closely with academics to develop and coordinate relevant content for activities to take into schools, as well as the UNE Discovery Program Leader/Head of School to enhance engagement in science outreach and engagement at UNE.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified with exceptional communication, leadership and team management experience. It is essential that you have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to set clear team goals, delegate tasks and set deadlines while acting proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. You will ideally have a science or teaching background and experience engaging with students from K-Yr10. You will be required to travel and be away from home to facilitate activities into schools.
