The Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Credit & Collections Manager to oversee, manage and be hands on in our collections team. The successful candidate will have responsibility over executing the credit policy of the business including credit assessment, loan collections, loan administration, and credit control. This full-time position will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our services while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
As the Credit & Collections Manager, you will lead a talented team of four service professionals, working closely with the broader team to drive results and improve processes. You will also collaborate with the Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure a seamless experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage and be hands on in the daily operations of the collections team, including loan collections, loan administration, and credit control.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, payments, and documentation.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts, liaising with clients as necessary to ensure timely collections.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the service team to drive high performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in collections/receivables and customer service within the insurance, finance or premium funding industry (preferably in a managerial position).
- Strong understanding of loan collections, loan administration, and credit control processes.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Willingness to undertake special projects.
- Experience with KPIs and reporting.
