The Opportunity
Boyden is partnering with a highly influential business forum to recruit a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving strategic revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with senior business leaders across multiple regions.
The CCO will play a central role in developing new products and services, leading business development initiatives, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. While the preference is for the role to be based in Sydney, a Queensland base is also possible, providing strategic value for regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering year-on-year revenue growth across all income streams, including membership, events, sponsorships, and programs.
- Increasing member retention and acquiring new members or partners.
- Developing sustainable new revenue streams through innovative products, services, and strategic alliances.
- Leading business development efforts in Queensland, potentially with a supporting team member, on a FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) basis.
- Building and nurturing relationships with senior business leaders to explore collaboration opportunities.
- Acting as a key ambassador for the organisation, hosting and speaking at events and engaging with relevant networks.
- Overseeing branding, content, and communications, including editorial materials, product pitches, and event briefs.
- Supporting strategic growth by delivering new products and market development initiatives.
About You

- Proven expertise in market and product development, from ideation to project delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive presentations and sophisticated pitch writing.
- Strong business development and relationship management experience at senior leadership levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach and focus on financial sustainability.
- Experience managing teams across multiple regions with effective people and time management skills.
- Curiosity and commitment to staying informed on developments in technology, innovation, and broader business trends.
- Ability to engage networks and build commercial and community connections.
Qualifications, Experience and Technical Requirements
- Degree in communications, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in business development, relationship management, and strategic revenue growth, preferably in a senior leadership role.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of senior leadership experience is required for this position.
- Candidates must hold valid work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
