ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Corporate Officer leads Hume's corporate services portfolios- digital transformation, AI, IT and Data, Finance, People and Culture, Risk and Compliance, Governance and Legal to ensure strong organisational capability, financial sustainability and good governance.
Hume is entering a new strategic phase focused on digital transformation, organisational excellence, financial sustainability and growth. The role sits within a streamlined and energised four-member Executive Leadership Team and is critical in integrating and modernising Hume's corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction and integration of all corporate service portfolios.
- Oversee business transformation, digital/AI-enabled change and process optimisation.
- Drive financial sustainability, investment strategy and capital management.
- Lead People & Culture strategy, workforce capability and organisational culture.
- Oversee governance, legal, risk and compliance frameworks and support the CEO and Board.
Hume is entering a phase of significant growth and unprecedented opportunity, and requires a Chief Corporate Officer who can help shape and execute complex financial strategies – structuring deals, managing capital, and overseeing risk (understanding funding mechanisms in relation to government, investors and partners).
The second critical dimension is in digital and organisational transformation. The successful individual needs to have a proven track record of driving standardisation, automation and integration of corporate systems and processes, to simplify how the business operates and how users access information. The role will involve integration and uplift of the new core operating platform.
Hume is seeking a senior executive with experience across multiple corporate portfolios in complex, regulated environments: such as community services, health, aged care, higher education, government. Broader development infrastructure, utilities, or not-for-profit leadership experience is also relevant.
Qualifications
- Degree in business, finance, law, governance, technology or related discipline.
- CPA/CA and/or legal practising certificate preferred.
- MBA or similar desirable.
Hume's offices are based in Fairfield, Telopea, Maitland, and Raymond Terrace. Hume is a flexible employer operating within a hybrid working environment (2-3 days from the office).
