About the opportunity
Due to growth continued growth within our client base, we are seeking an experienced Recoveries Specialist to come on board and join our supportive, collaborative, and hardworking team. Ideally you will come from a similar role and will have within a recoveries function.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- End to end management of recoveries within a portfolio of claims
- Negotiate the recovery of claims (both insured and uninsured)
- Investigation of third parties whereabouts
- Focus on the timely recovery of monies whilst at the same time maximising the recovery potential
- Set reserves and raise payments within scope of authority, settling matters in the most cost effective manner, and ensure timely issuance of disbursements
- Address a range of matters raised by customers to support the provision of a high standard of customer service, including investigating, responding to, and escalating any client issues accordingly.
Skills and Knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- 2 plus years previous experience in managing end-to-end general insurance recoveries– either Motor, or Property
- Satisfactory completion of the ANZIIF General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Proficient literacy, numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Possesses skills for independent and qualitative task completion with satisfactory time management and organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
