About the role:The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for coordinating and implementing quality assurance processes across the product development lifecycle. This includes continuous improvement activities, quality reviews, document editing and templating, and ensuring QA checkpoints are conducted and completed to required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across product portfolios.
  • Maintain and update the Continuous Improvement Register, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Conduct quality reviews of assessment tools and learning resources, including editing and proofing for clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Apply standardised formatting and accessibility features to documents, ensuring alignment with organisational templates and guidelines.
  • Manage and update assessment and resource templates, incorporating feedback from academic policy registers and end users.
  • Ensure form fields, instructional text, and layout elements are consistent across all templates to support efficient development and QA.
  • Coordinate QA checkpoints at defined stages of the production process, including pre-use and post-delivery validation.
  • Liaise with Product Leads and Validation Leads to ensure mandatory training and validation schedules are adhered to.
  • Prepare reports and briefing papers for committees and working groups, summarising QA activities, outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of QA actions, decisions, and validations.

Experience:

  • Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or administrative support within an educational or government setting.
  • Familiarity with assessment validation processes and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Understanding of public sector standards and procedures is desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
