About the Role

The Accommodation Manager is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced hospitality professional with a strong background in guest services and revenue management. This position is central to the smooth operation and continued reputation of a boutique hotel, with responsibility for all aspects of the Rooms Division, including front office operations, guest experience, and facility maintenance. You will lead by example to ensure a warm, welcoming environment and consistently high standards of service. Additionally, you will serve as the key liaison between the reception team and other departments, including the restaurant and events, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across the venue.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee the full guest experience from reservation through to check-in and check-out, ensuring seamless service across all stages of the guest journey.
• Take ownership of revenue performance by managing room rates dynamically to maximize occupancy and exceed budgeted revenue targets.
• Lead and coordinate all Rooms Division operations, including Front Office and Housekeeping, to deliver operational excellence.
• Manage property maintenance and repairs by liaising with external contractors and service providers in the absence of an internal maintenance team.
• Monitor and control weekly payroll and staff rosters, ensuring all departmental expenses align with forecasted budgets and revenue streams.
• Analyse and report on the financial performance of the accommodation business, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and exceed targets.
• Support the training and development of team members, fostering skill growth and succession planning through active coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Address and resolve guest complaints both in person and through online platforms, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction and positive review sentiment.
• Uphold and continuously improve guest service standards, implementing quality assurance measures to ensure a consistently exceptional guest experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• 3+ years' experience in Accommodation or Hotels at a supervisory level (minimum), leading a team
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of financial and operational management
• Brings creative passion and ideas for marketing and continuous product improvement
• Strong technical ability to integrate and update existing systems
• Available to work weekends & nights when required
• Immaculate presentation paralleled with service delivery excellence
• Familiarity with RMS, SiteMinder knowledge preferred but not essential

You will be required to balance responsibilities based on the business' trade patterns, which may involve the covering of reception shifts where required on evenings and weekends.
