Gray's Health and Fitness is a well-established business that has been operating for over 28 years in Australia and New Zealand.

We specialise in reconditioning high quality, used commercial gym equipment, and have an extensive range of stock in huge warehouses amounting to over 36,000 square feet of floor space.

We supply used and reconditioned commercial gym equipment to gyms, health clubs, personal trainer studios and government institutions throughout Australia.

The role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our team based in Altona North.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing assistance to our qualified mechanical and electronics technicians in the workshop.
  • Assist in spray painting and cosmetic repairs on strength gym equipment
  • Assembly and repairs to all strength gym equipment
  • Ability to work in an organised and logical manner to meet deadlines

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following:

  • Proven TA experience
  • Experience in assembly of parts on machines
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Implementing and sustaining a safe work environment
  • Willing to help across the business as required
  • Mechanically minded and self-motivated
  • Current Forklift Licence would be advantageous
  • Problem solving skills
  • Current Drivers licence
