About the Role

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (Team Leader), you will:

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to PBS practitioners, ensuring compliance, best practice, and service quality.
  • Undertake Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Oversee restrictive practices compliance in line with NDIS Commission requirements.
  • Support practitioners with case notes, reports, and participant outcomes.
  • Deliver training and guidance for families, SIL teams, and support staff to ensure consistency.
  • Balance leadership with a smaller personal caseload to remain connected to participants.
  • Contribute to service development and continual improvement initiatives at CareCo.

About You

You are a skilled practitioner and leader who thrives on improving lives and building others up.

You bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Developmental Education, Counselling, Speech Pathology, or a related discipline.
  • NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Registration (Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist).
  • Demonstrated experience in FBA, plan writing, and implementation of behaviour strategies.
  • Strong writing and IT skills with the ability to produce professional, accessible reports.
  • Leadership skills – confident in mentoring, supervising, and supporting staff.
  • Knowledge of NDIS frameworks, funding, and price guide arrangements.
  • Current driver's licence and vehicle.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening, DHS Working with Children Check, and National Police Clearance.
