What You'll Do
  • Assemble, wire, and test Mine Refuge Chambers and BESS systems to Australian and international standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance and functional testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Maintain accurate build records, inspection forms, and test documentation.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to deliver best-in-class outcomes.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives across manufacturing, testing, and documentation.
What You Bring
  • Electrical Fitter qualification or equivalent trade experience.
  • Proven experience in industrial, mining, or switchboard assembly environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision, safety, and documentation accuracy.
  • Good administration skills – capable of maintaining clear, organised records and following structured QA processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • A proactive approach, pride in workmanship, and a drive to innovate.
Desirable
  • Experience with DC systems, inverters, or battery energy storage (BESS).
  • Understanding of AS/NZS 3000, 4871, 61439 or mining-related standards.
