Junior Structural Engineer

We're seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design and analysis of HVAC platforms, stairs, ladders, and temporary works. In this early-career role, you'll work under the guidance of senior engineers to deliver high-quality, compliant structural solutions that meet Australian Standards and client expectations.

You'll collaborate with architects, builders, and consultants to bring designs to life, prepare technical documentation, and contribute to testing and validation processes. This role also offers exposure to client management and multidisciplinary project coordination, helping you build strong foundations for a successful engineering career.

Daily Tasks may include:

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural elements for modular and maintenance structures (HVAC platforms, stairs, ladder and temporary structures).
• Support senior engineers in delivering high-quality structural solutions from concept through to construction.
• Work with architects, builders, and other consultants to bring designs to life.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and drawings in line with Australian Standards.
• Assist in client management with existing clients and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Cultivating a sense of client focus in your team's everyday approach to their work, in particular with a sense of responsiveness, delivery on time, and professionalism.
• Develop and check engineering drawings to ensure that necessary information for manufacturing and assembly is clearly communicated
• Participate in the testing process to applicable standards

We're looking for a motivated individual with:

• Bachelor Qualification or above in Structural or Civil Engineering, or an alike discipline.
• 1.5-3 years of post-grad design experience in the building industry
• Experience in design using foundation, steel structures, and Aluminium structures etc
• Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools such as Space Gass, Toolkit, SKYCiv or similar.
• An ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders
• Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS1170, AS1657, AS4100, AS1664.1, NCC etc.
• Strong communication, report-writing and problem-solving skills
• A self-motivated individual who can work independently but is also comfortable in a team environment
• Strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation
