About the company/role:

• Medical device manufacturing company
• Ongoing contract
• Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
• Seeking a trades qualified Toolmaker/Fitter
• Casual short term contract with potential to extend

Duties, but are not limited to:

• Oversee continuous & thorough upkeep of all production machinery across the manufacturing facility
• Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure any potential risk to plant and equipment are realised, captured & actioned
• Give valuable feedback regarding all aspects of plant improvements, preventative maintenance and potential efficiency gains whilst maintaining time management around the weekly production schedule
• Ensure all safety issues are given high priority and are addressed with a sense of urgency
• Preventative maintenance, overhauls, small project work & fabrication work with a strong emphasis on machine up-time & reliability

Skills/experience:

• Trade certified Toolmaker certificate
• Strong experience in maintenance/reliability within GMP, pharmaceutical, FMCG or other highly regulated industries
• Proven experience in maintenance, fabrication and troubleshooting within a high-pressured environment
• Must have experience with Injection Moulding machines
• Knowledge of MEX (Computer Maintenance Management systems) or similar
• Electrical D-license (nice to have)
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
