Location: Bell Bay, Tasmania
About the Role
Monson Logistics is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Support person to join our busy operations team at the Bell Bay depot. This is a key support role providing administrative and logistical coordination across our fleet operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the department.
Ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in transport administration & operations support, this role is perfect for a motivated team player looking to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the fleet operations team including data entry, document processing, and records management.
Assist with scheduling, freight bookings, and communication with drivers.
Maintain up-to-date records for compliance, fatigue management, and mass management under the National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL).
Liaise with the maintenance team to coordinate vehicle servicing and defect reporting.
Support customer service and internal communications by ensuring timely updates and follow-ups.
Process incoming driver paperwork, including delivery dockets, manifests, and compliance forms.
Assist with reporting and KPI tracking.
Help maintain fleet databases and software systems.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Be highly organised with good coordination & multi-tasking skills.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
The ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
A team-focused mindset and willingness to support others.
An interest in transport/logistics administration.
A willingness to learn & comply with statutory NHVL processes (fatigue, mass, maintenance).
Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
