About the role

m-View is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to support our technical success across direct and channel sales routes.

This cross-functional role bridges the gap between sales, product, and engineering—ensuring that prospects and partners receive expert technical support, tailored solution design, and confidence in our platform throughout evaluations, trials and RFTs.

This role will ideally be be based in our Head office in Melbourne CBD, however other locations in Australia or NZ will be considered, with hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Translate customer requirements into tailored m-View solution designs across hardware (Matrix cameras), software (DEMS platform) and deployment environments (Cloud Lite, Core, Dedicated)
  • Support sizing, bandwidth, storage and compliance planning for each customer or tender scenario
  • Guide BOM creation and validate device/accessory combinations for varied use cases and verticals

Trial & Demo Enablement

  • Own the technical design and success planning for trials — including kit setup, configuration, customer onboarding and performance reviews
  • Deliver and/or support live or video-based demos for high-priority customers and partners
  • Coordinate feedback loops between field trials and product/engineering for continuous improvement

Tender & RFT Support

  • Assist with public sector tenders and large-scale commercial RFPs by contributing to compliance checklists, system diagrams, hosting architecture and detailed technical responses
  • Maintain and update pre-approved response templates and documentation

Partner & Sales Enablement

  • Train and support Tait internal sales engineers and partner technical reps (Jade+ tier and above) to scope and deploy solutions
  • Act as a technical escalation point for quoting and configuration questions during pre-sales

Security, Integration & Compliance Advisory

  • Advise customers and partners on data sovereignty, encryption, privacy (GDPR, Australian Privacy Law) and auditability features of the Altitude platform
  • Support integration discussions including VMS compatibility, API usage, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On (SSO)

Essential skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or Solution Consulting for SaaS, Cloud or IoT solutions
  • Strong technical understanding of cloud architecture, data security, video storage and streaming technologies
