Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety is a leading retail franchise group with 57 stores across Australia specialising in workwear, footwear, PPE & branding. Known for our unbeatable product range and customer-first service, we've built a reputation as the trusted name in workwear.

Our Moorabbin store is a family-owned business, and we're looking for a customer-focused part-time (Senior) Retail Sales Consultantto join our supportive team. We are also open to hiring this as a full-time role for the right person.

We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, a friendly atmosphere and a team who genuinely enjoys what they do.

About You

You're upbeat, motivated, and ready to jump into a role where no two days are the same. You thrive in a busy environment, love working with people, and have a genuine "can-do" attitude.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers with product selection and fittings
  • Providing knowledgeable advice on workwear, uniforms, and PPE (full training provided)
  • Processing transactions accurately using our in-store systems
  • Keeping detailed notes in our system to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting our garment decoration team with embroidery, heat press, and trimming & folding of garments (full training will be provided)
  • Maintaining a tidy, organised and well-presented store
  • Working with the team to hit sales targets and deliver great service

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous sales or customer service experience, preferably in a retail clothing environment (we value attitude and willingness to learn over years of experience)
  • Experience in sewing and/or clothing alterations is highly regarded
  • Comfortable using computers and sales software
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach to work (essential)
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in helping customers
  • A sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Professional presentation
  • Availability for flexible hours, including a rotational Saturday shift

Preferred, But Not Essential:

  • Driver's license and reliable transport
  • Knowledge of workwear and safety gear would be a plus
