About the Role
At Clyde & Co, you'll find a diverse and challenging work environment where no two days are the same. If committed, you will be applying to join a team reporting to 2 partners. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases in different industry sectors such as Marine, Aviation, Energy and Natural Resources. The legal work varies from complex cross-border disputes, class actions to regulatory and advisory transactions. This exposure will provide you with a broad skill set and the experience needed to excel in your legal career.
About You
You are already established and at the 2-4PQE level and eager to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team. You understand your role helping Graduates and more junior lawyers in the team whilst actively supporting senior colleagues. We're looking for someone who embodies the following qualities:
- Proactive Problem Solver: You naturally take initiative and are skilled at anticipating needs before they arise. You aim to be a reliable resource for partners, providing solutions and support that contribute to the team's success.
- Strategic Thinker with Vision: You see beyond immediate tasks, understanding the broader implications of your work. Your ability to think strategically and connect the dots is reflected in your academic achievements and your approach to problem-solving.
- Eager to Learn and Grow: You have a strong desire to deepen your knowledge, particularly in areas like marine, international trade, and transport law. You're excited by the opportunity to work alongside experts and develop your expertise in these fields.
- Effective and Persuasive Communicator: You know that communication is key, especially in a fast-paced legal environment. You can articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, ensuring that your contributions are understood and valued.
- Collaborative and Independent: You thrive in a team setting, where you can contribute to collective goals while also taking ownership of your work. You understand the importance of both collaboration and independent initiative in achieving success.
- Resilient and Adaptable: You are comfortable in high-pressure situations and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances. You view challenges as opportunities to showcase your skills and grow as a professional.
Key Skills and Criteria:
- Experience in Litigation: Prior experience working on litigation matters within disputes teams.
- E-Discovery: Familiarity across e-discovery and electronic data collection in complex litigation is beneficial.
