A rare opportunity for a highly motivated commercial litigation associate to join our litigation and dispute resolution team. This role offers the successful applicant the chance to develop as a commercial litigator by working on a diverse range of matters at one of Brisbane's premier commercial litigation practices, under the guidance of practitioners renowned for delivering exceptional outcomes.

About our commercial litigation team
Our commercial litigation team is well known in the market as one of Brisbane's premier commercial litigation practices. Our lawyers work Australia-wide and are among the best in their field. Market-leading partner Rocco Russo leads an agile, tight-knit team recognised for its work ethic and ability to produce technically excellent, solutions-oriented work at the highest level. The team includes two partners and a team of special counsel and has been independently recognised in Chambers Global, Chambers Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific as one of the top litigation practices in Australia. Rocco Russo has been ranked as a leading individual in Chambers Global for over a decade and is currently the highest-ranked Brisbane-based dispute resolution practitioner.
About you
Your experience and capabilities will include:
- 3–5 years' PAE at a top-tier, national or boutique commercial litigation practice
- very strong technical credentials and ability
- excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write complex and technical advice
- outstanding litigation and dispute resolution experience in areas relevant to our team's broad litigation practice, which includes general commercial litigation, property disputes, insolvency, building and construction litigation and regulatory matters
- skills to manage a varied case list involving multiple areas of law
- ability to quickly assimilate new information and problem-solve complex legal issues
- sound judgment and commercial acumen
- strong work ethic and commitment to outstanding client service
- a proactive, innovative and energetic approach
- the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
