Our client is a leading food manufacturer with operations across multiple sites in Australia. Reporting to the National Operations Leader, the National Engineering Manager plays a key role in translating strategic direction into major capital works projects. Working closely with the business leaders, this role is responsible for delivering best-practice and consistency across all manufacturing sites, in a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have solid Program Management experience and a strong engineering background (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical / Electronics). Significant experience in the food and/or beverage space is critical, as is being highly commercial - appreciating the big picture around growth, expansion and product innovation and its relation to capital works investment.

The role is also responsible for engineering support across all operations, seeking cost efficiency & opportunities for innovation, setting best practice standards, developing engineering capability and maintenance excellence.
