Job Description
As a Payroll Officer, you'll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting compliance, reporting, and exceptional service delivery.
- Process and administer payroll, maintaining accurate employee records and managing adjustments such as overtime and deductions
- Ensure compliance with awards, EBAs, tax regulations, and other payroll-related legislation
- Provide clear, timely responses to employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with People Services and Finance teams to support seamless payroll operations
- Prepare payroll reports, assist with audits, and contribute to continuous process improvement
Qualifications
- Experience in payroll processing with strong knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. Employment Hero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Clear communication skills with a customer-focused approach to supporting employees and stakeholders
