Relationship Officer
Bring your commercial relationship skills into a values-driven career. This is a rare opportunity to step into a meaningful role where your ability to build trusted relationships will help drive real social impact across communities in Australia and overseas.
- A chance to pivot into the not-for-profit sector using your commercial skills in sales and relationship management to drive impact.
- A supportive, collaborative culture with room for growth and development.

If you're an experienced relationship manager, account executive, or sales professional who thrives on connecting with people and building long-term partnerships, this role offers you the chance to apply those skills in a new, meaningful context.
You'll work with a supportive team to nurture and grow relationships with generous individuals, families, and organisations. Your focus will be on inspiring support through major gifts and Gifts in Wills, connecting donors to projects that transform lives.
This is a role where you'll see the direct impact of your work: every conversation and relationship you build helps strengthen vital projects in areas like healthcare, education, and community development.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with supporters across Victoria and Tasmania.
- Grow income through major gifts and bequests by engaging existing donors and cultivating new prospects.
- Develop and deliver engagement activities, including events, personal stewardship, and tailored communications.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leaders to drive donor strategies and share stories of impact.
- Plan and deliver an annual calendar of supporter engagement opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- A background in sales, account management, or high-value relationship roles, or existing philanthropy/major gifts experience.
- Demonstrated success in growing relationships and meeting financial or engagement targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and adapt your approach to different audiences.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with attention to detail and a natural ability to connect.
- Organised, self-motivated, and proactive in managing your pipeline of relationships.
- A genuine interest in using your skills for a cause-driven career.
