Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Golf Australia Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Australian Golf is growing - and so are we.

At Golf Australia, our purpose is simple: more Australians playing more golf.

We believe that all golf is golf, and all of us can be golfers. Whether you're swinging a club at a driving range, playing nine holes with friends, putting at mini golf with family, or dreaming of the Australian Open. We're here to make sure golf is fun, welcoming, and accessible for all; and that starts with how we show up as a team.

We're proud to be part of Australian Golf's transformation, a time of unprecedented growth, innovation, and opportunity. As our game evolves, so too does our workplace. Through it all, our values shape how we show up, collaborate, and lead:

  • We Welcome Everyone – Inclusion is at the heart of who we are.
  • We Are Connected – We work as one team, supporting each other across clubs, communities, and partners.
  • We Are Courageous – We challenge the status quo and reimagine what's possible.
  • We Bring Our Best – We bring care, pride, and purpose to everything we do.

We work alongside key industry partners like the PGA of Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia to support player pathways, from local clubs through to elite competition. We champion places to play, events at every level, and a high-performance program that helps emerging talent thrive.

At every step, we're driven by the belief that golf is a sport for life and there's a place in it for everyone.

ABOUT THE ROLE – Gippsland | Full-time | Ongoing

We're looking for a Relationship Officer to join our Victorian Participation team and help us support golf clubs and facilities to thrive through inclusive, engaging, and sustainable participation programs.

Your impact will include:

  • Being the key contact for clubs and facilities, helping them grow and strengthen their communities.
  • Supporting the delivery of national programs like MyGolf, Get Into Golf, and the Australian Golf Foundation Junior Girls Scholarship Program.
  • Coordinating activations and events that attract new participants, including Victorian and Australian Opens.
  • Connecting clubs with coaching providers and program deliverers to support junior and school-based golf.
  • Championing inclusive initiatives across multicultural, all-ability, and women's participation pathways.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in sport development or community engagement (2+ years).
  • A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills - written, verbal, and listening.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
  • Great organisational skills and comfort with data entry, scheduling, and reporting.
  • A passion for sport and a belief in golf as a game for everyone – no golf experience required

Why You'll Love Working With Us

At Golf Australia, we know people do their best work when they feel supported – in work and in life. Here are just a few of the ways we bring that to life:

  • Flexible Working – We offer hybrid work and flexible hours, we'll work with you to find the balance that fits.
  • Family-Friendly – With generous paid parental leave for all carers, we understand family always comes first.
  • Wellbeing Focused – Our partnership with Acacia supports your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing; plus in some of our offices you can access elite gym facilities.
  • Opportunities to Grow – From formal and on-the-job learning, we're all about growing together.
  • Extra Perks – Enjoy free onsite parking, access to exclusive golf events, and partner discounts – all part of helping you bring your best, every day.

Golf like many sports, hasn't always felt like a space where everyone sees themselves and we know that women and other underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. But at Golf Australia, we're committed to changing that.

At Golf Australia, our belief is simple: "All golf is golf, and all of us can be golfers." That philosophy extends to our team too. We're building an organisation where diverse voices, backgrounds and perspectives are truly welcomed and where people can bring their whole selves to the work we do.

So, if this role excites you, and you feel you could contribute even if you don't tick every box we'd love to hear from you. Let's have a conversation. You might be just what we're looking for.
