The Role

We are seeking a junior project engineer / mechanical coordinator to join our quality assurance team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates who are looking to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement within an engineering environment.  This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic local business to develop unique skills in a high growth/demand area.

In this role you will work closely with our Project Management team to:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and procedures.
  • Develop work packs and collate quality documentation based on Client requirements.
  • Participate in product inspections, testing, and audits.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Contribute to documentation control, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Assist in ensuring products and processes meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Workshop and local site-based role.

Essential requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable skills (not essential):

  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Understanding of material and welding traceability documentation requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of Australian Standards
  • Recent certificate/degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
