The Role
We are seeking a junior project engineer / mechanical coordinator to join our quality assurance team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates who are looking to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement within an engineering environment. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic local business to develop unique skills in a high growth/demand area.
In this role you will work closely with our Project Management team to:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and procedures.
- Develop work packs and collate quality documentation based on Client requirements.
- Participate in product inspections, testing, and audits.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Contribute to documentation control, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Assist in ensuring products and processes meet company and regulatory standards.
- Workshop and local site-based role.

Essential requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable skills (not essential):
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Understanding of material and welding traceability documentation requirements.
- Basic knowledge of Australian Standards
- Recent certificate/degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
