About the role

Located in the South of the state, but servicing all of Tasmania. We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor or Building Surveying Technician to join our team. This full-time role will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of building compliance and regulations to our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Undertaking site inspections and assessments to evaluate buildings and structures for compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Advising clients on the most appropriate solutions to address any non-compliance issues.
  • Liaising with local authorities, architects, and construction professionals to ensure projects meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in building legislation and best practices.

What we're looking for

  • A Licensed Building Surveyor, or studying and near completion of an advanced Diploma of Building Surveying with practical experience in the Building Industry or a Building Surveying Technician with a minimum 10 years' experience in the industry.
  • Knowledge of Australian building codes, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
