About the role

URKU is seeking an experienced Barista all rounder to join our team in our Prahran, Victoria location. This is a casual role, where you will play a key part in providing exceptional customer service and high-quality chocolate and coffee beverages to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and serving a range of specialty coffee and tea beverages
  2. Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  3. Providing friendly and high quality customer service following the URKU standards
  4. Attend merchandise displays and store presentation
  5. Operate retail technology, including Point of Sale (POS)
  6. Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient cafe operations

What we're looking for

  1. 1+ years of experience as a Barista or similar role in a hospitality environment
  2. Commitment to providing high-quality hospitality service
  3. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, including the ability to produce consistently excellent espresso-based drinks
  4. Strong knowledge of flavour profiles in cacao and coffee
  5. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, can-do, positive attitude
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to work effectively in a luxury hospitality environment with high quality service standards
  8. Flexible availability to work during peak hours, including weekends
  9. Australian work rights are required for this position
