About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate All rounder /Barista to join our team at La Vie , a vibrant café located in Cremorne, Victoria. In this contract position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting high-quality coffee and beverages to our loyal patrons. With a focus on versatility, you will also assist with various other café duties as needed.

What you'll be doing

  • Front of house: taking orders, customer service, handling the till, making coffees (if trained), running food.
  • Back of house/kitchen support: prepping sandwiches, wraps, or toasties, keeping the kitchen clean, restocking.
  • General café duties: dishes, cleaning, restocking fridges, helping wherever needed during busy rushes.

What we're looking for

  1. 2+ years of experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment, with the ability to prepare consistently excellent coffee beverages
  3. Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for providing a positive customer experience
  4. Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and adapt to the changing needs of a busy café environment
  5. Enthusiasm for working as part of a close-knit team and contributing to the overall success of the business
  6. Flexible and available to work a range of shifts,

Casual hours: Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
