- Be part of a bold and vibrant team
- Fight 'the Beast' and create lasting impact
- Lead major donor engagement
Founded in 2014,
FightMND
was established with the purpose of finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for motor neurone disease.
What FightMND has done since 2014 is be the voice, and the guiding star for Australians who want to fight 'the Beast'. The horrible and debilitating disease gradually takes away the patient's use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately their ability to breathe… all in an average timeframe of just 27 months.
FightMND – IT TAKES PEOPLE
Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager and working as part of a dynamic and vibrant fundraising team, you will:
- Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of potential supporters to secure significant financial contributions.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors, fostering deep connection and long-term commitment to FightMND.
- Design and deliver a calendar of donor engagement activities and events that inspire giving, build loyalty, and demonstrate impact.
- Proactively identify and research new major donor prospects through individual giving programs, events, and community networks.
- Collaborate with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to develop and implement strategic and operational plans to grow the supporter base and optimise philanthropic revenue.
- Work closely with the broader Fundraising Team to deliver integrated supporter journeys that enhance retention, encourage upgrades, and promote cross-channel giving.
About You:
- Alignment with FightMND's values:
Urgency, Integrity, Efficiency, Boldness,
and
Collaboration
. - Proven experience in relationship management and donor stewardship, including direct gift solicitation.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, enduring relationships with philanthropists, trusts, and individual stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and the confidence to 'make the ask'.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage donor data and engagement.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work outside standard office hours to support key donor and fundraising events. These include small donor gatherings, plus large community engagement opportunities, Big Freeze, Daniher's Drive and Challenge 27.
As well as meaningful work, FightMND offers flexible hybrid working (60% in Burnley office), a competitive salary with NFP packaging, 1% additional super, five days of gifted leave annually, access to top-tier learning opportunities, and discounts through corporate partners.
Gembridge is proud to partner with FightMND.
