Senior Technical Specialist – Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Apps Brisbane

Contract - Until June 2026

140 per hour (Inclusive)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the department's Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps suite of applications.

In this role, you will provide technical design and delivery oversight, working closely with architecture, networks, security, and other technical domains to ensure seamless system operations. Your work will directly contribute to delivering cohesive, efficient business solutions that support the department's strategic objectives.

You will also actively participate in project and governance forums, aligning technical delivery with business requirements, while driving continuous improvement and ensuring systems remain fit-for-purpose.

Key Responsibilities As the Senior Technical Specialist, you will:

  • Maintain and support the core business functionality of the Dynamics 365 environment.
  • Apply business process modelling to map workflows and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables that align with best practice.
  • Collaborate with project teams to prepare technical requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and documenting solutions.
  • Develop software solutions aligned with architectural guidance, working against product backlogs in an agile environment.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support requirements gathering and manage expectations.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve outcomes across the VET domain.

About You We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. You'll have the ability to work across teams, align technical delivery with strategic objectives, and foster effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience as a Dynamics 365 developer, with a proven record of delivering complex business initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.
  • Experience improving processes, streamlining workflows, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to document, analyse, and present technical requirements clearly.
  • A track record of contributing to informed decision-making through insightful technical analysis.

Role Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, Azure Pipelines, and Power Apps Flows.
  • Experience developing Dynamics 365 solutions and integrating Azure platform services.
  • Strong skills in developing, deploying, and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem (highly desirable).
  • Experience contributing to projects within digital transformation or modernisation contexts.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps pipelines, release, and environment management in Agile delivery.
