Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Language Disorder Australia Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Business Systems Project Manager (ERP Programme)

Language Disorder Australia is seeking a skilled and hands-on Business Systems Project Manager to guide the implementation of a new enterprise system across Operations, Compliance, Commercial, Finance, HR and Corporate Services.

Role:
Business Systems Project Manager

Status:
Part Time (0.5 FTE initially with flexible hours pending work needs), 15–18 Month Contract (possible extension)

Location:
Toowong, with hybrid flexibility

Commencing:
As soon as possible

At Language Disorder Australia, we're committed to building the systems and infrastructure that support extraordinary outcomes for children and young people with Language Disorder and for the people who make that mission possible.

We're now embarking on a major digital transformation project and need an experienced professional who can lead the
end-to-end implementation of our new ERP or business management system
integrating Operations, Compliance, Commercial, Finance, HR and other relevant workflows to improve transactional efficiency, data quality for decision making, compliant reporting, and effective collaboration across the organisation.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a capable project manager or business analyst who thrives on bringing structure, clarity and momentum to complex system rollouts. You'll report directly to the Executive Director and have the autonomy to shape and deliver the project while working alongside a collaborative and experienced leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As our Business Systems Project Lead, you will:

  • Prepare the initial scope and project initiation documentation, high level programme costings and governance approval requirements.
  • Stand up the programme teams and associated project requirements.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of an ERP/business system implementation project.
  • Map and document current and future-state processes across Operations, Compliance, Commercial, Finance, HR, and Corporate Services.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective configuration and integration.
  • Oversee testing, rollout, user training and go-live readiness to support a smooth transition.
  • Prepare programme governance documentation and stand-up steerco, cadence and programme operating rhythm.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets and risks, and report on project progress to SteerCo.
  • Support post-implementation review and continuous improvement activities.

WHAT YOU WILL NOT BE DOING:

  • Working in isolation: you'll collaborate with a capable internal team and external experts.
  • Getting bogged down in admin: your focus is delivery, coordination, and outcomes.
  • Waiting for direction: you'll have freedom to shape how the project is executed.
  • Managing a large team: this is a leadership-through-influence role, not line management.
  • Maintaining a static workload: you'll move through discovery, delivery, and review phases.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, or Project Management.
  • Proven experience leading ERP or business system implementation projects.
  • Strong business analysis and process mapping capability.
  • Excellent vendor and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of operational, commercial, finance and HR workflows.
  • Clear communication, documentation, and project reporting skills.
  • Experience managing a programme budget and reporting on expenditure.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
  • Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain before commencement).

BENEFITS:

What we can offer in return:

  • A flexible, part-time contract (employee or contracting arrangement preferred) that fits around your schedule.
  • An opportunity to make a lasting impact through systems transformation.
  • A values-driven organisation with a strong reputation for service excellence.
  • Competitive market rates (aligned with your experience and qualifications).
  • Collaborative environment with experienced leaders and supportive culture.
