Tell me about this role:

We are currently looking for an NV2 security cleared Cyber Security Consultant to join our team on a permanent basis. You will provide expert advice to the leadership and project teams in regards to cyber, information security and technical, professional and policy advice.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Coordinate system security services requiring a combination of technical security and governance expertise to support AWSPO
  • Provide expert advice to the leadership and project teams in regards to cyber, information security and technical, professional and policy advice
  • Conduct security certification and accreditation activities for selected ICT systems: Special Access Program (SAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Conduct capability and concept development in context with technical security
  • Identify, analyse and manage security requirements of specified ICT Systems
  • Conduct ICT systems security planning, design, implementation and Verification and Validation (V&V)
  • Provide ICT System Security SME advice on security policy, procedures and governance, specific to projects, up to and including Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Assist with the research, development and implementation of ICT security policy plans and procedures

What sort of skills do I need?

  • Degree qualifications in ICT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field
  • 8 + years experience within a Defence environment
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Hold a minimum NV2 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
