Tell me about this role:

We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1 or higher) Product Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will see you perform complex planning, governance and achievement of Air Combat business, project and product objectives/milestones

This role is based at Williamtown and is a full-time ongoing permanent position.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Perform complex planning and execution to assure delivery of fit for purpose including management of project/product scope, schedules, risks, budgets and resources
  • Support the Capability Manager with the development and progression of project/product submissions in accordance with One Defence Capability System requirements, eg. gates, reviews, committees
  • Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) integration and co-ordination through high stakeholder engagement and strong relationships
  • Develop, update and maintain required project/product documentation required to govern the project/product, eg. iPMP
  • Undertake required Project/Product reporting using applicable management systems, eg. PPRIP, SPMS
  • Undertake Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and management
  • Conduct business in accordance with the CASG BMS, Project Controls Function policies, procedures and guidelines;

What sort of skills do I need?

  • Experience within a Defence environment, preferably in the Air Combat domain
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Project Management qualifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
