Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Legal Secretary or Paralegal experienced in criminal and or family Law, in the Greater Newcastle Area. Responsibilities include client enquiries, diary management, drafting legal documents, managing case files, assisting solicitors, liaising with Courts and other third parties, managing tasks and filing and general office duties. The successful applicant will also be required to collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to clients.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in family law and or criminal law
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing case files/tasks
  • The ability to think ahead, work independently as well as part of a team, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently on-site

This position is for a career legal secretary/paralegal. Law students need not apply. The role is on-site only, and candidates applying for remote work will not be considered.
