Classroom Support Officer

Scone Grammar School is looking for a Casual Teacher's Aide.

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher's Aide to support individual students with their specific learning needs in both one-on-one and group settings. The role involves assisting the Class or Subject Teachers and Learning Support Teachers with implementing Individual Learning Programs and tailored classwork. Responsibilities include working with small groups and individual students, helping them develop personal, social, and independent learning skills, and supervising educational activities under the guidance of a teacher.

Experience:

• Experience supporting individual students in both individual and integrated environments to increase learning opportunities
• Experience in allowing students to develop personal, social and independent learning skills
• Experience supporting teachers with monitoring and evaluating students' individual education progress
• Experience within implementing Individual Learning Programs or Individual subject outcomes

Essential Criteria

• A valid NSW Working with Children Check
• National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
• Commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people.

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Education Support or relevant certificate
