One of Melbourne's favourite wine focussed venues, Embla is consistently busy and well regarded by diners and peers alike.  With award winning cuisine and an excellent team all round, this is a great opportunity for a candidate looking to make a meaningful contribution to an already iconic venue.  

We are on the lookout for a senior hospitality professional to join our FOH team for an immediate start. This is a hands-on role with a regular section and bar shifts, so you'll need to be able to hustle. We offer a diverse range of wines, from the classics to the contemporary, providing a democratic drinking environment that rises to whatever the occasion happens to be. Candidates must regularly drink a broad variety of wine and show a genuine interest in wine culture.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven experience in a similar role at a venue of equal calibre
  • An outgoing personality with a genuine appreciation for service and hospitality
  • Knowledge of classic and contemporary wines, with a focus on Australia, France and Italy in particular, professional qualification such as WSET or equivalent a bonus
  • Ability to time-manage across the various demands of the role in a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility with working hours as the venue trades 7 days
