We're looking for motivated and experienced hospitality professionals to join our tight-knit team at Vinesmith — a hybrid wine bar, cellar door, and French-inspired bistro in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.

As a small, high-quality venue, we value individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and confident managing a full section independently. You'll be an integral part of our guest experience, from warm welcomes and detailed order-taking to wine recommendations and efficient service.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage your own section during service
  • Deliver warm, attentive, and professional guest experiences
  • Take orders and run food and drinks efficiently
  • Recommend wines and assist with wine service (training provided)
  • Support colleagues with bar, floor, and polishing/reset duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold venue standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced or high-standard venue
  • Wine knowledge (WSET, CMS, CSW certifications appreciated)
  • Strong communication and time management
  • A genuine interest in modern French cuisine
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Team player with initiative and reliability
  • Valid RSA required
