About the company

Our client is a leading and dynamic professional services firm with a comprehensive national footprint, servicing the needs of wide variety of domestic and international companies, banking groups and other lenders, financial services organisations and numerous Government departments.

The firm has achieved a prominent position in their sector through a combination of creating expert industry client groups and providing a collegiate high-performance work environment for their circa 1,700 staff. As the firm continues to grow and transform, they are seeking to appoint a proven, highly influential technology professional to lead their national technology group and drive positive change.

About the role

In this expansive role you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with the broader Executive team and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for the strategic design, project planning and leadership of the national technology team, ensuring delivery of all infrastructure, applications, hardware and software needs and projects. You will have oversight of the firms IT security, ensuring policies and procedures are current and the division is functioning at the highest level.

About you

With a forward thinking and curious mind set, you are passionate about all things technology and the continuous development of the industry and products.

You will have gained considerable experience working as a Chief Technology Officer (or equivalent) in a progressive organisation where you have developed a best practice function. As a proven leader you will have demonstrable experience developing and leading both functions and people that form part of your remit. You will have experience in strategy development and leading the implementation of transformational projects. You will also have a strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to security and data protection and advanced knowledge of infrastructure and software development. A background in managing a large multi-functional and geographically dispersed IT function is highly preferable.
