We work with leading providers in the vocational education and training sector, supporting them to deliver high-quality education to both domestic and international students.
Our client RTO is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor to deliver the Certificate III in Information Technology (ICT This opportunity is ideal for a motivated educator who is committed to student success, compliance, and engaging delivery.
Position Overview
The Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for delivering and assessing the Certificate III in Information Technology in line with national standards. This role requires someone with current industry experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of competency-based training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions (classroom and/or online) in accordance with ICT30120 course requirements
- Assess students' work in compliance with the current standard
- Prepare, review, and update learning resources and assessment tools
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students to assist in their successful completion of the course
- Maintain accurate student records including progress, assessments, and attendance
- Participate in moderation, validation, and continuous improvement processes
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122), or equivalent (as per ASQA requirements)
- A vocational qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Current (within the last 2 years) industry experience in ICT
- Previous experience delivering ICT30120 or similar IT qualifications
- Strong knowledge of competency-based training and assessment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and standard digital tools (MS Office, collaboration platforms)
Desirable Attributes
- Experience delivering face to face training
- Familiarity with ASQA compliance and RTO standards
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a training team
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality training and assessment standards
