The role:
This is a diverse Financial Accountant role within Symal's corporate finance division. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Business Partners to ensure that the profit and loss and balance sheet being presented to the Board on a monthly basis, reflects a true and correct position of the entities.
Your everyday:
- Conduct the day-to-day bank requisitions along with reconciliations of balance sheets accounts, in accordance with the month end timetable, for a selection of Symal group companies including new entities as they arise
Complete the GST, Bass lodgements, bonds & credit card reconciliation, daily, monthly and quarterly dependent on the Company's requirements
Lead projects designed to improve overall operations and engage with those around the business to complete and roll-out these projects
- To assist with the submission of various compliance as and when required
- Provide input into streamlining processes that are being performed
- Submit ABS surveys as required in a timely manner
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:
- Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent
- Completing CA/CPA qualifications is desirable
- Experience in a financial accounting role
- Ideally experience within the construction industry
- MUST have strong knowledge of accounting standards
- Can-do attitude and excellent communication
