The Opportunity
Our client is one of Australia's most respected ASX listed businesses with a rapidly growing global footprint. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the group reporting team as the business continues to corporatize and grow its accounting team whilst embarking on the next stage of their strategic growth.
During a time of significant growth this position is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of the group's external reporting requirements, accounting policies, treasury activities and acquisition accounting matters.
The Challenge
This role supports the General Manager Finance and is responsible for supporting the group with management of the group accounting and reporting function. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Overall responsibility to provide subject matter expertise in financial reporting, governance, policies and compliance
- Statutory accounts preparation and supporting the external reporting obligations
- Analysis of technical accounting matters and acting as the technical accounting SME
- Preparing and presentation of accounting policy papers
- Acquisition accounting and M&A integration support
- Maintaining and improving the existing financial risk controls framework
- Treasury accounting support including hedging matters and derivatives
- Process improvement and delivery first class financial reporting practices
- Maintain and update the group accounting policies and procedures.
- Act as the key financial reporting contact for external parties and internal stakeholders
- Support the GM to ensure the organization meets its ESG and sustainability reporting requirements
- Work closely the GM to prepare ASX investor presentations
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Ideally, you are a chartered accountant and started your career with PwC, KPMG, Deloitte or EY. You have since been working in a group role of a large corporate, preferably ASX listed with global operations
- Possibly, you are a Senior Manager level CA from PwC, KPMG, Deloitte or EY and looking to make your first move out into industry
- It is a given that you will have superior financial and statutory reporting experience, be a strong communicator and have proven experience leading high performing teams
