Project Officer – Business Relationships, Fair Trading licensing.

Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8
Salary range: $110,266 - $122,058 per annum super
Duration: Temporary up to 6 months
Location: Parramatta, with other locations considered by negotiation, subject to office capacity. (Office attendance required 2 –3 days per week.)

Because we are searching for a proactive and motivated project officer to join the Quality, Operations and Systems Support (QOSS) team within Fair Trading Licensing.

QOSS sits within the Business Relationships team within Fair Trading licensing, providing quality control and supporting delivery of operational and strategic objectives for the Fair Trading licensing teams.

The team carries out a broad range of functions, including:

  • Identifying and implementing business improvement requirements
  • Developing and implementing quality frameworks and quality control of licensing assessments.
  • Organisational design, change management support and operationalising legislative reform changes.
  • Updating forms & websites.
  • Developing SOPs for licensing staff.
  • Data and reporting requests.

This is a short-term temporary assignment and we are looking for a candidate that has:

  • An understanding of project management and change management, and the ability to apply effective project planning, coordination, and implementation methods.
  • Knowledge of Fair Trading licensing processes, procedures and systems and familiarity with the legislation that underpins Fair Trading licensing schemes.
  • A can-do attitude, a passion for providing high quality customer service, and experience in building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • The ability to deliver results while balancing competing project priorities.

This role is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and implementing a range of operational support and change projects by applying sound project management principles and methodologies.
  • Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinating working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
  • Preparing and maintain project related documentation and source and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to achievement of the project outcomes and identification of emerging issues.
  • Undertaking research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.
