Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer to Associate to join our Commercial Insurance (CTP) team in Sydney working with Matthew Seisun.
About the team and the work
This is a national team that acts in every state and territory in Australia for insurers, superannuation funds and government agencies, offering a diverse and challenging range of work in CTP and other areas of personal injury litigation and disputes.
The team manage claim portfolios and defend litigated claims. They are experts in major and catastrophic personal injury matters, intricate medical and fraudulent claims, complex liability disputes and damages.
The team also act for the Commonwealth on merits review matters in the Administrative Review Tribunal, which will give you the opportunity to be involved in regular advocacy work and exposure to administrative law.
The team support our clients in designing and implementing claims systems, help with strategic audits as well as review risk analysis and reserves.
This practice will allow you to become a subject matter expert in CTP and other fields of insurance litigation, through support from senior team members.
You will be mentored and encouraged to develop your skills whilst supporting the senior members of the team.

About you
At least 12 months prior experience gained in an insurance or litigation practice.
Advocacy experience in the Administrative Review Tribunal and/or CTP insurance experience is highly regarded.
Demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise your time with proven file management skills.
