Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Toolmaker/ CNC Machinist to join the team on day shift (Monday – Thursday, 6.00am – 2.30pm and Friday 6.00am – 12.30pm). Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, the focus of this role is to be responsible for the manufacture of CNC machined components for tools, jigs and fixtures used in the manufacturing process to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Duties

  • Write CNC programs using CAM
  • Operate CNC machines for open cast tooling, compression mould tools and injection mould tools
  • Complete setup of tooling and work pieces, trialing of programs, inspection of finished components
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on CNC machinery
  • Ensuring Elastomers Australia policies and procedures are always complied to, including the strictest compliance to OH&S and QA policies both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Previous CNC / Toolmaker role
  • Experience with CAM programming and modern machining techniques
  • Ability to operate conventional milling machine and conventional lathe
  • Working with power tools and equipment
  • Skilled in interpreting complex mechanical documents and drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards specified deadlines.
  • Manual handling up to 20kg.
