After successfully securing the asset management agreement to manage the operation and performance of a recently completed, purpose built, commercial tower, the organisation is seeking a dynamic Asset Manager to join their team. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performance organisation and lead the management and future asset strategy of this premium building.

About the Role:

As Asset Manager of this new development, the role will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement of daily operations and the performance of the asset, the outsourced property management agreement, the strategic management of existing tenants, and securing appropriate tenants for vacancies in line with objectives. Crucial will be developing strong impactful relationships with key with investors and tenants. The role will include the challenging responsibility of forecasting and managing budgets and the continued enhancement of the asset value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a detailed Asset Management strategy with 1-, 3-, 5- and 10-year milestones.
  • Maintain close oversight of the DLP ensuring all defects are rectified.
  • Management of the outsourced property and facilities management contract.
  • Coordinate space planning and leasing activities, including negotiating and renewing commercial leases in alignment with the Asset strategy, and being the primary contact for the letting agents.
  • Liaise with external valuers, and review periodic property valuation reports and provide meaningful feedback
  • Maintain effective contract administration and compliance processes.
  • Maintain close working relationships with the onsite property and facilities managers.
  • Ongoing refinement of all relevant operational protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare and present periodic asset report, including financial and ESG to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare business cases for asset improvement and value-add initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants, investors and partner stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in asset management and commercial property management, with strong knowledge of facilities management
  • Strong understanding of building operations, lease administration and management, property related legislation, and financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of property markets and trends
  • Experience managing premium commercial assets and complex management contracts
  • Exceptional skills in engaging and influencing stakeholder groups, including direct and indirect management of staff.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
