Asset Manager / Assistant Asset Manager (Property)

Up to $130k + bonus

Permanent full-time role

Mandarin language skills are highly desirable

We are working with a leading developer who owns and manages several commercial, retail, and residential assets across Australia. They are a respected, internationally connected organisation, and this is a newly created role to manage 3 commercial assets in Sydney/Melbourne. You will be based in Sydney and travel to Melbourne once a month.

This role sits across a tight commercial property portfolio and gives you genuine exposure from deal assessment all the way through to post-investment performance.

For this role, it's essential that you have experience in contract negotiation and contract review locally.

Duties to include:

  • Managing day-to-day asset performance
  • Reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Providing recommendations on terms and commercial positions
  • Feasibility, due diligence, and upfront assessment work
  • Progress and risk reporting once deals are live
  • Supporting fund structure, compliance, and operations
  • Working on annual budgets with Property Management
  • Liaising with agents, facilities managers, and internal stakeholders

What you bring:

  • 2-3+ years in asset management (leasing or development backgrounds welcome)
  • Comfortable reviewing/negotiating contracts
  • Able to navigate competing views and personalities
  • Calm under pressure; decent commercial judgement
  • Local market experience

Mandarin language skills are highly desirable
