Hays has partnered with a Queensland Government department to recruit multiple AO5 Project Advisors. These positions will be based on the Sunshine Coast and are being offered as contracts through until September

Your new role

As a Project Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of key initiatives across the North Coast Region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating meetings, managing secretariat duties, and tracking decisions and actions.
  • Supporting risk and issue management by developing mitigation strategies with project teams.
  • Overseeing tender and procurement processes.
  • Managing document control, updating project management plans, and maintaining archives.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure deliverables meet defined standards.
  • Assisting with project health checks and performance surveillance.
  • Reviewing and analysing project documentation and correspondence to identify risks and lessons learned.
  • Leading high-level data analysis and performance reporting.
  • Preparing briefing notes, reports, and submissions.
  • Mentoring and reviewing the work of administrative support staff.
  • Recommending improvements to project support processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in project administration or coordination
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Familiarity with risk management, procurement processes, and quality assurance practices.
  • Proficiency in document control systems and project reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
