PERSOKELLY is seeking a Communications Advisor to join a Queensland Government team on the Sunshine Coast

In the role of Communications Advisor, you will provide strategic community and stakeholder management services to technical and professional staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs, and stakeholder relationship management.

**In the Role You Will**:

- Coordinate community engagement for the project
- Develop strategies for stakeholder and issue management and consult with a wide range of interest groups.
- Assist in providing communication advice and support to the Project Manager, Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, Senior Communications Advisor (Significant Projects) and other regional staff in the areas of community engagement and communication strategies,
- Risk assessment, issues management and media relations using appropriate communication tools.
- Manage the preparation of communications materials, including researching and writing media releases, ministerial briefings, newsletters, web enquiries, flyers, display materials, speech notes while adhering to all departmental and public governance framework requirements.
- Manage and coordinate the preparation, review, approval and distribution of project related executive correspondence for the region.
- Develop, plan and manage key communication activities such as displays, expos, career markets, road commissioning's, launches, media opportunities and other events as required for the project

**About you**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within a Government Team
- Ready to take on the next adventure in your career
- A dedicated team player
- Current holder of a Class C driver's licence

**Desirables**:

- A degree in communications, public relations or marketing or equivalent years' work experience would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and critical conversations.
- Experience in major infrastructure project environments and social media competency, will also be highly regarded.
- IAP2 or equivalent training in community engagement and public participation.
