Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety and food hygiene standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and output, ensuring targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Line Leaders to resolve operational issues quickly.

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Supervise dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes, reduce lead times, and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation and inventory control during dispatch processes.

Quality Assurance

  • Work closely with the QA team to maintain and enforce quality control procedures throughout the production and dispatch process.
  • Ensure all products meet M & J Chickens' quality and safety standards as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for any quality non-conformance or customer complaints.

Administrative Approvals

  • Review and approve staff timesheets to ensure accuracy and alignment with rostering and payroll timelines.
  • Verify and approve supplier invoices in accordance with procurement and finance policies.
  • Liaise with accounts and HR departments to ensure smooth processing of related documentation.
